Today I nearly died.  Super hard speed workout.  2 miles easy, then drills, then an incredibly hard, (and secret) speed workout.  After that 2 more miles.

No morning run today.

2 miles warmup, then a speed workout.  300m easy, 100m hard, 200m easy, 200m hard, 400m easy, 300m hard, 500m easy, 400m hard. repeated three times. Then 6 stride outs and 1 mile cooldown.

P.M. 2 easy miles, then warm up for the mile. ran that in 4:40, a little slow, but I expected that because of my training. Then cool down and warm up for the 800. Didn't do as well in that one, 2:15, I felt totally sick after the mile. Then I did the 4*400. I had a crazy burst of energy there and ran a 58. I was pretty pleased with that. Then I cooled down and went home.

It was so windy today!  The forecast had 30 mph gusts, and it was bad!  

My first race was the mile.  I ran it in 4:40.   Then I did the 2 mile in 10:14.  I was ahead of Luke Puskedra for a little bit, but he was just running easy, then he schooled me in the last 800.  Immedietly after I did the 4*400.  I was the first leg and did a 58.  Overall, a good race.  Not a whole lot of fast times due to the wind, but hey, more room for improvement later!

Ran out on Forest Hill road in cali today.  I hit a part where there was 8% grade!  It was crazy!  My legs still feel a little messed up from the car ride and track meet.

Did a fartlick today.  5 min moderate then 1:30 hard.  It was hard, but worthwhile.  California is so different to run in than Utah!

Drove all the way back from cali today.  I did do one mile though...and it is pretty lonely.  I'll give it some friends tomarrow.

Today I just couldn't wake myself up to do a morning run, probably because of all the travel yesterday.  

I ran 7 miles at varied intensity today on the porter rockwell.  It was pretty good.  I might run the 2 mile at a meet tomarrow, if I can make it, so we'll see.

Its my birthday today, so I wanted a fast, quick run.  ran 1.75 warm up, then pulled three 1.33 mile intervals.  then 2 cool down.
